Vicki Vincent

Vicki has been working in the legal industry since 1999 and while she has experience in a number of areas, her passion for all things property has allowed her to find her calling with cottage conveyancing. Vicki was a welcomed addition to the KCH Conveyancing team in 2012 and delivers exceptional service to our clients.

Narelle Hill

Narelle commenced work as a junior and gradually gained experience in many areas of the law until her progression to a Personal Assistant, working mainly in the family law, criminal compensation, Wills and Estate Planning and litigation areas of the law. Spending almost the entirety of her career in the legal profession, Narelle now has a wealth of knowledge which means she can offer our clients invaluable support and an unmatched level of understanding.

Kate Horsman

Kate joined KCH Lawyers in February 2012 and was a newcomer to the legal industry after many years in the hospitality industry both here and abroad. Her friendly yet professional manner will put clients at ease when making enquires or booking of appointments. Kate also provides administrative support to the rest of the team.

Ryan Harder

Ryan was born in Rockhampton before moving to NSW with his family as a young boy. He made the big move back up to Rockhampton and joined our busy KCH Conveyancing team in October 2019. Prior to this, he worked as a conveyancer in ACT and NSW, where he completed a wide range of conveyances, including electronic settlements.

Ryan has extensive experience with the conveyancing process which allows him to provide efficient service and an easier process for our clients.

Myles Heath

Myles joined the KCH Lawyers team in July 2019 as personal assistant to Ella Bennett. Myles grew up in Emerald and attended secondary schooling at Rockhampton Grammar School. He is currently studying a bachelor of laws through Central Queensland University and hopes to gain practical legal experience in all areas of law. Outside of work Myles enjoys spending time on his family’s property at Wowan and keeping active.

Ella BennettElla started with the firm in 2011 initially working as personal assistant to Kerry Connolly while studying her law degree at University of Southern Queensland.

Ella completed her degree in 2014 and was admitted as a Solicitor in the Supreme Court of Queensland in early 2016. Over the many years of experience at the firm Ella has gained a broad range of experience, particularly in relation to Property Law and Commercial Law.

The breadth of her work extends from contract drafting, acting for lessees and lessors, contracts for the sale, purchase and lease of rural properties, sale and purchase of business contracts along with franchise agreements, general commercial advice and commercial litigation.

Additionally, Ella’s experience extends to will drafting and estate planning advice. She has an interest in rural matters and plans to develop her expertise in this area, along with Commercial Law generally.

Originally from the Sunshine Coast, Ella has called Rockhampton home since 2011, and lives on the land just outside Rockhampton with her husband Ben and young daughter Isobel. Outside of the office Ella enjoys spending time with her family, travelling, water-skiing and riding horses.

Wayne HowardOverview

Wayne is an experienced general practitioner with a specialty in Family Law and a focus on Estate Planning and Estate Administration work.

Wayne was born in Rockhampton, spent his childhood on his parents’ cattle properties at Banana and between Rolleston and Injune.

After completing his education, he commenced employment at the local Magistrates Courts office and completed Bachelor of Laws with Honours at the Queensland University of Technology.

Wayne commenced practice as a Solicitor in April 1988 at Kerry Connolly and Associates, here in Rockhampton. Wayne and Kerry Connolly entered into a partnership on 1st July 1991 which continued successfully until Kerry’s retirement at the end of October 2015. Wayne has continued the practice as a sole practitioner since Kerry’s departure.

In his earlier years in practice, Wayne worked in a broad range of areas including, personal injuries, care and protection applications, all aspects of family law, criminal law, conveyancing and commercial work. Over the years Wayne’s practice has become more specialised and is now primarily Family Law, Estates Administration, Estate Planning and general legal matters.

Wayne continues to live in Rockhampton where he and his wife Wendy have raised their three sons who now have families of their own based in Rockhampton, Brisbane and Newcastle.

The breadth and scope Wayne’s Family Law and Estate Law experience is extensive and includes:

  • Family Law property settlements involving significant interests in grazing properties in the Central Queensland district and large business enterprises.
  • Parenting Disputes including relocation matters around Australia and overseas.
  • Child Support Disputes both within Australia and involving US jurisdictions
  • A broad range of Family Law including Divorces, Spousal Maintenance and other financial matters and parenting issues.
  • Estate and Administration matters involving Estates situated in Queensland, other Australian States and overseas.
  • Complex Estate Planning matters.

Wayne has been a member of the Queensland Law Society, the Family Law Practitioners’ Association of Queensland and the Family Law Section of the Law Council of Australia for over 30 years.
